Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Form Pilot ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Form Pilot is a middleware service that helps users convert Google Sheets into interactive forms and facilitates the submission of form data directly to Google Sheets. Our service:

  • Connects to your Google account via OAuth 2.0 authentication
  • Reads the structure of your Google Sheets to generate forms
  • Provides a user interface for form submission
  • Transmits form submissions directly to your Google Sheets via Google's API

Important: We do not store, retain, or have access to your form submissions or Google Sheets data beyond what is necessary to facilitate the service. We act solely as a middleware tool.

3. User Accounts and Google Authentication

To use our Service, you must:

  • Have a valid Google account
  • Grant OAuth permissions to access your Google Sheets
  • Be authorized to access the Google Sheets you intend to use with our Service

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activities that occur under your account. You may revoke our access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account Permissions page.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service to submit malicious, illegal, or harmful content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Google accounts or Google Sheets
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Service in an abusive manner
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

5. Data and Privacy

We do not store your data. Form Pilot operates as a middleware service with the following characteristics:

  • No database or data storage on our servers
  • Authentication tokens stored only in your browser cookies (client-side)
  • Form submissions transmitted directly to your Google Sheets via Google's API
  • No retention or caching of user data or form submissions

Your data, including form submissions and Google Sheets content, remains with you and Google. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we handle information.

6. Google Services and Third-Party Terms

Our Service integrates with Google services (Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google OAuth). By using our Service, you also agree to comply with:

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Form Pilot and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all ownership rights to your Google Sheets and any form submissions. We do not claim any ownership rights to your data or content.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice
  • Temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance or updates
  • Impose limits on usage or restrict access to the Service

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL FORM PILOT, ITS AFFILIATES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted or transmitted via the Service

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Form Pilot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your access to or use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy or intellectual property rights
  • Any content or data you submit through the Service

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time by:

  • Revoking OAuth permissions through your Google Account settings
  • Clearing browser cookies associated with our Service
  • Simply ceasing to use the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

You are advised to review these Terms periodically for any changes. If you do not agree to any changes, you must discontinue your use of the Service.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
